Daisies room

We take children into the Daisies room at the age of 6 months and they are with us here until they turn 18 months old. This room is set-up to cater for the very specific needs of the younger children. This room is self-contained and includes a milk preparation kitchenette, allowing the practitioners an opportunity to feed and put to sleep, as and when it is needed, without having to leave the room. In this room everything is floor based, and you will notice that black boards, whiteboards and easels are all floor height to enable the children who are not yet walking ample opportunity to engage in all of the learning dimensions of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our Daisies sit tucked away in the back of the main building, which is joined through a walk way. This gives them a feeling of autonomy, enabling a peaceful resting environment with only the twittering of the birds and the russtling of the trees, at the same time as being part of the larger nursery scene.
