Day in Blue Room

How our day is structured

Our typical day is as follows:

At 7.30am:

We welcome the children as they arrive at the nursery and let them       have time for free play – they are able to explore and use their imagination as they play with construction toys, water sand and paints.

The children will have their breakfast.

The children will go into the garden for outdoor activities.

Back inside the children will be encouraged to engage in a variety of activities including dough play, the use of crayons, paints and scissors and reading.

This is followed by story time.

At 12 Noon:

All children sit down to have a nutritious home cooked lunch.

All children go out to play with bats, balls and wheeled toys.

Quiet time where the children have the chance to take an afternoon nap if they wish

The children are encouraged to engage in various creative activities, including collage, sand and water play, cookery and playing with construction toys.

This is followed by story time.

Tea - time

After tea the children are free to choose what to do next and are encouraged to play with floor and table toys, dressing up, imaginative play in the home corner and access to books.

We encourage children to take part in group activities to aid with their social and personal development.  As parents arrive to collect their children we give them feedback on their child’s activities during the day.

At 6pm:

Nursery closes for the day.
