Michelle
Michelle was first introduced to Tulips via a CWDC (Childcare Workforce Development Council) initiative that was being run from Portsmouth University. The purpose of the pilot project was to allow graduates from non-childcare related degrees, hands on experience at a nursery and a primary school. Enabling the candidate to decide which, if any, they would choose as a profession. Michelle had just completed her bachelors degree in psychology and via this program came to spend two weeks with us before going onto a primary school. Within those two weeks with us, Michelle, very quickly became part of the Tulips family and within less then two weeks of leaving was back as a permanent member of staff - currently working with the Daisies.
Michelle is currently studying towards her EYPS (Early Years Professional Status) at Portsmouth University at the same time as working at Tulips. Michelle has become commonly known as 'Aunty Shelle' by our pre-school children
